Mobile Broadband On Demand is targeted to service providers who want to offer an easy and economical way for individuals to access the Internet. The solution enables time and/or usage-based on-demand access to mobile broadband services. An interactive on-device user interface allows subscribers to easily monitor, manage and replenish their data services without overages.

Mobile broadband solutions available in the market today typically rely on network-based architecture only and do not address the user experience locally on the device. The Telespree solution provides network-based policy management as well as a locally present policy agent and customizable data meter on the device. The solution delivers a seamless and automated service enrollment experience as well as re-enrollment when a session has expired.

Solution Elements

Activation and On-Boarding - Subscribers can seamlessly enroll, activate and begin using service immediately on 3G, 4G or hybrid devices directly on the device without calling care or needing retail assistance.

Session Control - When the time period or usage allocation expires, subscribers are automatically redirected to a re-enrollment experience including business logic options (e.g. purchase additional discrete data amounts, enroll for contract, etc.).

MyDashboard (Policy Agent/Data Meter) - The on-device user interface enables a personalized user experience that provides full transparency around mobile data usage. Customized by the service provider, the GUI allows subscribers to:

  • View real-time service information with a data meter, including time and megabyte usage
  • Receive low usage and personalized reminders
  • Manage their account; view usage history; and purchase new sessions
  • View special offers in real time such as content offers, new features, promotions, etc.
  • Monitor shared service between multiple devices on an account (e.g. 5GB plan shared by smart phone, USB,tablet via mobile hot spot)
