Position: Software QA Engineer

Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in requirements definition
- Develop and execute tests
- Submit and track software change requests
- Communicate project status
- Review technical and non-technical documentation
Experience/Skills Desired:
- Solid black box QA in a distributed Web-based client-server environment
- Familiarity with UNIX/Solaris, Oracle, and BEA operating environments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Functional, Regression, System, Integration, Load, Stress, Performance, Ad-hoc test experience
- Test case creation and execution, including very in-depth knowledge of system analysis, including boundary testing, negative testing, data type testing, positive testing, etc
- Knowledge of QA processes, standards, and procedures as well as Software Development Life Cycle, both in a classic software development sense and a rapidly evolving and growing company sense
- Understanding of the complete bug life cycle, as well as what constitutes valid bug metrics, important aspects of a well written bug, etc
- Ability to excel in a team-oriented fast paced environment
- Willingness to work hard and meet goals and deadlines without much supervision
- Knowledge of wireless protocols (IS-41, GSM) at the MAP and TCAP layers a plus
- Catapult MGTS, Ulticom Signalware, or other SS7 technologies a plus
